MRI
Magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI) allows a physciain to look inside
your body to obtain diagnostic information. The superior
scanning system is able to generate high quality images
of the specific area troubling you, providing quick and
more accurate diagnosis for a physician. MRI can often reduce
the need for exploratory surgery and other procedures.

After
completion of your scan, our Board Certified Radiologists
interpret the findings in a report to your doctor. This
process allows your needs to be addressed in an expert and
timely manner. The doctor will receive a report the day
after your scan, or sooner if necessary.
Open
MRI
Magnetic
Resonance Imaging uses a computer, magnetic fields, and
radio waves to generate images within the body. MRI is used
for virtually all parts of the body.
Unlike
traditional MRI scanners, the open Altaire MRI system at
Medford Open Imaging has no tunnel; it is open on all sides.
Claustrophobic patients, as well as larger patients, can
have an MRI without feeling confined. The procedure will
typically last 30-40 minutes, depending on the type of information
requested by your physician.
